Your Story Matters

The idea behind the Life Story Interview project took shape during my PhD. I was exploring how individuals made sense of their learning experiences - not just through the numbers from quantitative surveys, but also through the qualitative stories they told about their lives. I was afforded the privilege to see firsthand how powerful it can be when someone has space to reflect on their story - in their own words, at their own pace.

Since then, I’ve adopted and adapted the Life Story Interview method from existing research frameworks, combining it with my own academic and personal lens. What emerged was a practice that honours lived experience and makes space for meaning-making.

The process is simple but intentional.

You might come to it at a turning point, during a transition, or simply because something in you is ready to be heard. Life Story Interview is not therapy, though many find it deeply reflective. My hope is that it creates a quiet space - not necessarily for answers, but for awareness. A space to notice what has shaped you, what matters to you, and how your story might guide what comes next.
